Who they are
We are very pleased to introduce a new website for our valued client, The Independent Bookstore.
The Independent Bookstore only sells and promotes independently published books by Australian and New Zealand authors that are difficult to find anywhere else or simply not available in other bookstores.
The project
Shawline Publishing engaged us to set up The Independent Bookstore website. Shawline Publishing is passionate about publishing and promoting independent Australian and New Zealand authors. Excitingly, the launch of the new website coincided with their ‘bricks and mortar’ shop in Ballarat, a large regional town in Victoria.
The look and feel of the website needed to complement the ‘bricks and mortar’ store with a painted white brick background and shelves for the books to sit on. It also needed to be easy to navigate so people could easily make their way to the checkout once they decided on what book to buy.
The end result
The new website is now online. We have also provided detailed training so the client can upload and manage the books themselves. As a result the website already has lots of books uploaded for sale. This includes both fiction, non fiction as well as children’s books.
