Google Ads Credits for Covid-19 Pandemic

12 Jun 2020
by: John Stoneman

Google is spending US$340 million worldwide. They are doing this by giving away Google Ads credits to a lot of it’s customers. The aim is to help small and medium sized businesses keep advertising during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The ad credit is a great goodwill gesture by Google. It is a practical way to show support and solidarity with businesses who use Google Ads to advertise their business but are finding the current times tough. If you are eligible you will receive a credit up to the equivalent of US$1,000.

1. Am I Eligible for the Google Ads Credit?

Small and medium sized businesses must have advertised with Google 10 out of the 12 months of 2019. In addition, they must have advertised in either January or February 2020. This means to be eligible you don’t have to have been advertising continuously.

2. How much is the Google Ads credit?

The maximum you will receive is US$1,000. The amount a business receives depends on the how much they have spent on Google Ads in the past.

3. Can I apply for the credit?

The great thing is that there is no application process. Google has taken all the hassle out by automatically applying the credit to a business’ Google Ads account.

4. When do I have to spend the Google Ads credit?

This Google Ads credit must be used by 31 December 2020. If you do not use it by then it expires.
